Holly Kohn, Editor-in-Chief
Holly Kohn is a graduating senior, completing an English major with a concentration in Rhetoric, Writing, & Technology, a major in Sociology, and a minor in Professional and Creative Writing. This is her third year on staff for VIA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, cuddling with her two white collies (Snowy and Stormy), and spending time with her horse, Lady Belle. In the fall, she will be attending Washington University in St. Louis, School of Law.

Brenda Suhan, Staff
Brenda Suhan is a senior studying Public Health and Spanish, but outside of the classroom, her main passion is writing. Brenda combined her two passions in her analysis paper of domestic violence in the black community, which is published in the 2016 issue of VIA. Brenda has been on staff for the Kiln Project and VIA for two years. She can’t wait to see VIA’s growth in the future after she graduates!

Claire Nist is a senior serving as the Editor in Chief of The Kiln Project this year. She is majoring in English with concentrations in Creative Writing and Research Intensive English, and minoring in Psychology. Claire received the A.J. Montesi Award for Creative Work and the SLU Library Associates Undergraduate Writing Award Honorable Mention this year for her work. This is Claire's third and final year on staff, and she is planning on pursuing a career in editing or publishing after graduation.

Bailey Tripp is a graduating senior who will be receiving two Bachelors degrees in Communication and English as well as a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. She has been honored to be a part of The Kiln Project and VIA for the last three years and she has been happy to serve as Kiln’s Marketing Director for the last year. Following graduation, Bailey intends to start her career in organizational communications and marketing.

Valerie Guempel is a junior English and Women's and Gender Studies double major, with concentrations in Creative Writing and Research Intensive English. This is her third year on The Kiln Project and VIA staff, and she serves as the web manager for The Kiln Project. Mary Kate is a graduating senior. She is an English major with a concentration in creative writing. This is her first year on staff. In her spare time she reads and is a news writer for Bookstacked.com. After she graduates she wants to become a book editor, specifically for Young Adult Literature.
