From the Editor: VIA 2014
The Spring 2014 issue was released on April 11, 2014. It features articles with several emergent themes; we see the pieces connecting through questions about the state of humanity, human sexuality, global and generational cultures, death, faith, and the quest for identity and selfhood. The articles we have chosen to publish this year come from a variety of students; students from both the St. Louis and Madrid campuses, every class level, and many disciplines are represented. VIA also includes theses from the 2014 graduating class of Research-Intensive students. The R-I track, SLU English departmental honors program, is comprised of upperclassman students who participate in research seminars and compose critical and creative research Senior Honors Projects.
We hope you find that this assembly of articles demonstrates the complex, engaging, and fascinating academic conversations occurring within SLU's undergraduate community. I hope you enjoy our first issue!
